Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats

Prue made this super easy overnight oats recipe with the uncontaminated oats she was gifted in her pack from us 💖 #livethegreenlife

In case you’re wondering, oats are not considered to be gluten free in Australia as gluten can not be measured in oats, like it can in other gluten containing grains like barley, wheat and rye.

Uncontaminated means the oats are grown and processed in facilities free of gluten contamination from barley, wheat or rye grains.

*As per the Coeliac Australia recommendations: Those with coeliac disease should only include uncontaminated oats in their diet under medical supervision.

INGREDIENTS:


1/2 cup oats (Gfoats)
1 cup milk of choice
1 tbsp flaxmeal or chia seeds
1 tbsp nut butter
1/4 cup sultanas
1/4 cup homemade apple sauce*
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)


TOPPINGS:

Fresh apple
Yoghurt
Cinnamon

METHOD:

1. Make home made apple sauce (just apple and cinnamon on the stove until it smooshes).
2. Add all ingredients to a large jar. Shake well and refrigerate over night.
3. Enjoy the next morning with a dollop of yoghurt and fresh apple (or whatever you want!).
